Terminal Manager
Job Description
The Terminal Manager manages all rail operations in the terminal and ensures that a high quality of safe, on-time service is mirrored throughout the staff. A successful candidate needs excellent customer service skills, leadership skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, and a proven ability to motivate his/her teams to high performance and a self-starter. We are looking for a strong team member who leads by example and brings an innovative mindset to enhance The BRC.
Principal Duties:
- Responsible for investigating accidents and injuries to determine cause and minimize future occurrences.
- Often work with train dispatchers and customer ops group
- Responsible for the on time inbound and departure of freight trains
- Plans the operation of local trains to provide required service to customers and fulfill service requirements.
- Requires a good working knowledge of safety and operating rules, train operations, FRA regulations, hazardous materials, labor agreements, crew call, and other applications.
- Develops, motivates, and trains employees who work in the assigned territory.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb on/near equipment
- Ability to stand and walk over uneven terrain
- Successful completion of the conductor certification is required
- Responsible for supervising Agreement (union) employees
- Train rides
- Rule incidents and injury investigations

Preferred Level: 3-5 year
Education:
Preferred Level: Bachelor’s Degree (BS)

- MS Word/Word Processing
- Other Technical Skill will be included in training
