Spring has sprung

With the weather becoming milder, it᾿s project season. For example, a new retarder with enhanced hydraulics is being installed in the East Classification Yard. This will reduce noise, addressing concerns from Belt neighbors.

The work will be performed in phases by Engineering employees and contractors.

Chief Mechanical and Engineering Officer Adam Brock called the state-funded work “significant” and an indication that the Belt is committed to the community in which it operates.
