BRC recognizes employees’ safe work

September sizzle applied to more than just the weather Sept. 3. BRC employees were treated to sizzling pulled pork sandwiches, brats and chicken during their annual employee appreciation safety meal. Mashed potatoe s, and baked and green beans put the finishing touches on the meal with ice cream desserts available.

Employees, retirees, customers, contractors, local emergency responders and law enforcement were invited to the 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. event. More than 300 people were served, including nearly 60 guests.

“It was one of the best picnic turnouts we have had,” said John Lucio, carman and safety committee member. “It went well.
