Celebrating CREATE

Various Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) partners, including the Belt, will receive substantial federal grant funding from the U.S Department of Transportation to handle the 75th Street Corridor Improvement Project. The State of Illinois, Cook County, City of Chicago, Metra, Amtrak and other railroads also will help contribute to the project.

The work will include the replacement of the Belt Junction, century-old viaducts and sidewalks.

Stakeholders celebrated CREATE at a Dec. 13 event at CSX’s Forest Hill yard.
