Signal Forman Clint Jonas led an annual rules class Jan. 24.

He taught on-track safety and operating rules to several members of Track, many of whom are seasoned employees.

Participants agreed that the refresher was highly valuable.

Jonas, in his first year teaching the class, called it a “useful full refresher.”

Earlier in January, he taught two sessions. Eventually, all Signal, Track and Building & Bridges employees will take the course, which includes more than 100 employees. He expects training to be complete in February. 

Jonas said he gets a lot out of the classes.

“I enjoy the interaction with teammates,” he said. “They share their experience and knowledge as we go through all the required material and testing. It’s good that they can bring different things to the table. We’re safer when we learn from each other’s experiences. It raises awareness.”
