Carman Ray Owens found a roller bearing adapter missing during an inspection of an inbound train on April 22. 

“His attention to detail saved a possible derailment and injury to others,” Assistant Superintendent Mechanical Robert Perham said. “Thanks to Ray for leading by example.”
