Tim Coffey, general counsel, secretary and director of human resources, and Dave Cargill, manager engineering, attended the Oct. 16 Get on Board event of the Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency program.

CREATE is a public-private partnership with the state of Illinois, city of Chicago and area passenger and freight railroads.

The Belt Railway Company of Chicago co-sponsored the event.

The half-day business-to-business exchange connected minority and women business owners, rail industry
executives, government transportation agency representatives and prime contractors.

“I was impressed by the number of smaller companies that do business with Chicagoland railroads and that want to do more,” Coffey said.
