The Salvation Army Midway Citadel Corps Community Center was the site of the Belt’s most recent charitable effort.
Most of the management team, including Finance Manager Archie Listenbee, helped box up fresh produce, frozen meat, and canned and dry goods for individuals in need. They also assisted community members with loading the items into vehicles.
While Salvation Army personnel and those receiving the donations were grateful to the Belt volunteers, the team members noted they were uplifted by the experience too.
“It was good to make a difference,” Listenbee said. “We’re always grateful to help others.”
He also expressed his thanks to the Salvation Army.
