While members of BRC Police engage the community daily, they get to brighten the days of local people during special events.

The 8th District seniors group recently was a recipient of these efforts, and its members expressed gratitude March 26 by presenting Director of Police/Risk Management Gerald Conoboy with a banner. They wanted to show their appreciation for a Christmas lunch provided by the Belt and BRC Police.

Each member of the 8th District seniors group created an individual design on a piece of paper. Chicago Police Department Officer Debra Preus collected them all to create the banner. The word “kindness” appears at its center.
