BRC provides foundation for Franco

Laborer Alejandro Franco said joining a company that’s going strong after more than a century is comforting amid starting a family with his fiancée Javanna.

He also appreciates going through the onboarding process with fellow Laborer Michelle Corona and receiving guidance from the journeymen.

“Everyone has been supportive,” Franco said, noting his co-workers have high expectations and great attitudes. “We have employees who’ve been here for 30 years, and I hope to have a career like that.”

A Joliet, Illinois, native, Franco is an experienced diesel engine technician who also worked for a major concrete business, for which he sailed on barges across local waterways and prepared them for loading. He believes his familiarity with heavy equipment will aid him in working safely.

In his free time, Franco enjoys working on his 1969 Dodge Charger with his father and hopes to do similar project with his child some day.
