Girl Scout troop appreciates donation

In March, BRC Police donated winter caps, cuddly police bears, bracelets and badges to Girl Scout Troop 75992.

BRC Roadmaster Anthony Balich’s wife, Cheryl, serves as troop leader, and their daughters, Charlotte and Claire, are part of the group.

Cheryl thanked the police for the “great swag,” noting, “Our girls were beyond excited and thankful for everything.”

Each girl walked out of the visit wearing a new hat and bracelet. Cheryl notes that each bear was named by its new owner.

“Our girls learned that the railroad has its own police, and now I’m the coolest leader because I know the chief,” she said.
