Senior Accountant Debi Sudd brings three decades of payroll experience to her new role at the Belt, along with a reputation for precision, organization and reliability.

Sudd, who started on March 3, is responsible for payroll and taxes. While well-versed in those tasks, she says every workplace has different nuances to understand.

“I like to take on challenges, and I look forward to learning more,” said Sudd, who takes pride in finding ways to make processes run more smoothly.

That attention to detail has defined her career as her former co-workers knew her for her color-coded systems, which made it easier for teams to locate files and stay organized.

Outside the office, Sudd enjoys spending time with her adult daughters, Amanda and Anna, and doing activities such as gardening and visiting farm stands and markets to pick out fresh fruits and vegetables.

Sudd also enjoys canning and cooking from scratch. She regularly buys and roasts fresh tomatoes by the bushel to create her own homemade spaghetti sauce, which she’s done for the past six years.

Baking, however, is her favorite pastime.

“I’m a giving person and a people pleaser,” said Sudd, who’s known among family and friends for her crescent cookies and homemade Rice Krispies Treats.

This past Easter, Sudd baked three lamb-shaped pound cakes, which she shared with her neighbors.
