C3RS hitting its stride

Chief Clerk Liz Wojcik has acted as the scribe during the Belt’s initial C3RS Peer Review Team meetings.

And she’s encouraged by the gatherings.

“It’s going to afford the Belt the opportunity to make improvements in safety and practices,” she said.

The railroad now has had three meetings as part of the anonymous close call reporting program, the most recent on Oct. 3.

“The energy is good, and there was a lot of feedback,” Wojcik said.

It’s clear to her that a key factor in the program’s success will be the submission of detailed reports. Wojcik also notes the importance of submitters taking return calls from C3RS analysts, which are a normal part of the process.

Taking a call from an analyst will not compromise a submitter’s anonymity. Without detailed information, the PRT may not have the information necessary to address the issue at hand.
